4.6 / 5 (34 votes) All thanks to the Internet, in recent years, the Whisper Challenge phrases is a sport that has become extremely popular these days. Basically, the game requires that players listen to deafening music using a headphone and one of the friend’s whispers some whispering phrases in their ear. A good game show catchphrase reminds you instantly of the game it comes from. These phrases have become part of popular culture and are used casually with friends and even in Hollywood blockbusters. Here's a list of the best catchphrases to come from game shows old and new. Start the game by whispering a word or preferably a phrase in the ear of the person standing next to you. Try whispering as softly as possible to avoid any other person from hearing it. Let’s assume that the phrase whispered is “bananas are better than biscuits.”. The facilitator then whispers a message to one neighboring person. The message will now be passed round the circle by whispering to the next person and the next, until it reaches the last person at the other end of the circle (just before the facilitator). Ask the last person to say the sentence aloud.
Introduction
People who work together are communicating with each other. If they communicate effectively, this will enhance the performance of the group. If communication is poor, the quality of group work will suffer. The importance of a good communication is demonstrated in this “Whispering game” (also called “Message Relay”) by illustrating the breakdown of the communication. The exercise can be used as a starter for sessions on (effective) communication. Clubs will benefit if there is good communication between members.
Objectives
- To illustrate the breakdown of communication.
