Serial Numbers I recently purchased what I thought was a used, polished aluminium frame with no decals or head badge from shop with lots of NOS and used frames and parts. I paid less than USD $100.00 for the frame and fork with a Chorus threadless headset and square taper Campagnolo BB. Excellent mechanical condition 1990/91 Litespeed classic. Serial number is 3679, which is a fairly early production bike. No cracks, dents, etc in frame. I have owned it about 5 years, and completely rebuilt(I was a professional bike mechanic for about 5 years) Shifters are 8sp Ultegra. Litespeed model and year info I just bought a used ti frame and need help in finding more info about it. The frame has a two piece serial number on the rear derailleur hanger dropout. 4 digits and then T with more 4 digits. There are no other visible markings on the frame. And I can't seem to find a similar litespeed frame online. It's entirely possible it's a custom frame, but it's probably just as possible it's a fake. Litespeed can look up the serial number for a $25 donation to charity, which I'm willing to do, but if someone can spot something glaringly wrong with it that just screams fake I'd rather save.
